Ep. 20 - Coko Galore

In today’s episode, Amanda sits down over some delicious Apothic Red wine with actor, improvisor, curator and director, & current Artistic and Manasging director of Bad Dog Theatre Company Coko Galore (Coko & Daphney, Black and Funny Toronto) to discuss taking on her new role at Bad Dog Theatre during a pandemic, the connection between empathy and human dignity, and how guilty pleasures should just be guilt-free pleasures! Coko is one-half of the infamous comedy duo Coko and Daphney alongside Daphney Joseph, and the producer behind Black and Funny Toronto: a comedy showcase of Black comics and performers making audiences laugh on stages across Toronto. She is also the newly appointed Artistic & Managing Director of the award-winning Bad Dog Theatre Company, one of Toronto’s main sources of comedy classes and live comedy entertainment. Since the pandemic, Bad Dog has created Bad Dog TV on YouTube where you can watch loads of awesome, live shows 5 days a week!
Bad Dog Theatre is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that offers comedy classes and live comedy entertainment to Toronto and beyond. During these times they could really use our support, so head over to Bad Dog TV on YouTube, subscribe, enjoy all the hilarious shows, and make sure to donate!
